Friday Night Varia

1. Home from seeing "Once" at the indy theatre. During the last song, I was "playing" Izzy's arm, anticipating the harmonies and the melodic shifts. Delightful! Thanks to Megs for suggesting the outing. (FYI: Movie is great, website is a bit difficult to navigate. May be a generational thing...)

2. Unexpected thing from the TV (paraphrased): Spice up your meals with Ingrid Hoffman, your guide to Latina cooking. Sorry, it's just the oh-so-Latina-name.

3. Confusing thing from the car radio: "Offer not available in all states." I think they mean "Offer not available in some states." Else, why bother airing the offer in the US?

4. Dreary bit of Philosophy from Mad Men: My mother always said that life was like a horseshoe. Flat in the middle, open at both ends, and hard throughout. Yeesh...

5. Today was the National Rabies Awareness Symposium (tomorrow is World Rabies Day). I was on-call. 'Nuff said?
