On the way home from Mass this AM, I heard an interview with Doris Kearns Godwin on NPR's To the Best of Our Knowledge. Kearns was talking about Lincoln's Cabinet. It lead me to recalling presidential shootings--Lincoln, Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy, Reagan. Never imagined I'd hear a story about a VP shoooting someone...
